Defense Intelligence Agency Program Analyst Washington, D.C. February 2016 – presentAssigned to the Program and Budget Formulation Office, Chief Financial Office. Monitor the programming of the agency’s General Defense Intelligence Program and Military Intelligence Program civilian pay and benefits for budget submissions and exhibits. Provide analysis of civilian compensation programming to DIA leadership based upon affordability of employees and full-time equivalency. Also responsible for the programming of five mission areas’ non-pay for budget submissions and exhibits.
United States Department of Agriculture – Foreign Agricultural Service International Trade Specialist Washington D. C. April 2012 – February 2016Using principles of Results-Oriented Management, reviewed and evaluated Unified Export Strategy (UES) market development applications submitted by program participants in portfolio (California Fresh Fruit Association, National Pecan Growers Council, Raisin Administrative Committee, United States Apple Export Council, Washington Apple Commission). Advised participants in portfolio on the quality of their proposed strategies and the appropriateness of their supporting activities. Used knowledge gained through the review of the UESs; consultations with the Office of Trade Programs (OTP)/Program Operations Division, Compliance Review Staff, and other FAS program areas; and coordination with FAS’s network of international offices to guide the participants in the development, implementation, and improvement of their strategies and activities.
In 2015, portfolio included over $11 million in market development funds (Market Access Program, Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops, and Emerging Markets Program) from the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the United States Department of Agriculture. Presented, justified, and discussed funding allocation recommendations to/with senior staff in OTP.
Served as entry point to FAS for program participants’ market access issues, phyto-sanitary issues, trade barriers, and export promotion programs.
Prepared and edited success stories on the benefits of market development programs for internal and external use, as well as other official correspondence (e.g., talking points, briefing memos) submitted to the Deputy Administrator for OTP, Administrator of FAS.
Conducted briefings on program updates; organized and facilitated meetings for commodity groups in portfolio.
Developed and presented briefings on commodity groups in portfolio to FAS colleagues, FAS management.

Conducted financial account research and analysis, tracked George Mason University Foundation Provost payments, created and/or reviewed organizational reconciliation spreadsheets, filed journal voucher transactions and supporting documentation.
Colegio Divina Infantita Auxiliar de conversación en inglés (English Conversation Assistant) Guadix (Granada), Spain September 2010 – May 2011Helped the English teaching staff and their students improve speaking and pronunciation abilities, while also incorporating lessons on American history and culture. Taught conversation classes each week for approximately 300 students of Colegio Divina Infantita, a private school located in Andalusia, Spain. Classes for the pre-schoolers (3-5 years) and primary students (6-11 years) were completed as an entire class. Classes with the secondary students (12-16 years) were done on a small group basis of 8-10 students each.
Defense Intelligence Agency Financial Specialist Washington, D.C. March 2006 – August 2010
Assigned to the Force Structure and Compensation Office within the Office of the Chief Financial Executive. Monitored the execution of the agency’s General Defense Intelligence Program civilian pay and benefits. Provided analysis of civilian compensation to DIA leadership based upon affordability of employees and full-time equivalency.
Deputy Satellite Chief for the Chief Financial Executive’s Defense Intelligence Operations Coordination Center satellite office. Also served as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Appropriation Analyst on the Funds Control Team within the DIA Comptroller’s Office. Responsible for fiscal oversight and proper execution of more than $2 billion.
Federal Bureau of Investigation Federal Bureau of Investigation Honors Intern Washington, D.C. June 2005 – August 2005Inspections Division Audit Unit Intern. Conducted a trend analysis of deficiencies found in the Information Systems portion of all field office inspections conducted over a period of three years. Performed the Property and Equipment audit during two field office inspections.
US Army, Lieutenant, Finance Battalion Disbursing Officer Sinai, Egypt July 2002 – July 2003Directly supervised 4 personnel. Provided disbursing services and managed military pay accounts for over 250 U.S. soldiers of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO). Disbursed over $3.5 million in cash, US Treasury Checks, Electronic Funds Transfers and collected $500,000 in cash.
Battalion Adjutant/S-1; Detachment Commander South Korea June 2001 – March 2002As S-1, directly supervised 4 personnel. Officer in charge of personnel management and administrative functions for over 85 U.S. and 12 Korean soldiers. Established plans, policies, and procedures for the administration of special duties, evaluation reports, and soldier awards. Planned and directed two successful Command Inspection Programs (CIPs); received 99% ratings for each.
As Commander, directly supervised 6 personnel. Commanded forward-deployed detachment in support of the Second Infantry Division soldiers and civilians. Responsible for the morale, welfare, and training of 28 personnel. Executed two field exercises as part of wartime unit readiness and armistice finance mission training.

Benning, GA September 1999 – January 2001Helped Regimental Adjutant ensure all soldier awards and evaluations were completed in a timely manner. Served as Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Project Officer in which over $83,000 were collected.
